There's a growing, ever louder buzz around Maruja. The Manchester band build their music from improvised sessions; their songs are anything but conventional, and many run past 5 minutes. And yet nobody seems to stay indifferent. Critics have welcomed them warmly. Nor are audiences left cold by their shows, where all of the band's energy comes to the fore. Maruja's Portugal debut is not to be missed.
